Employee Guideline
General Information
1) Employees are expected to always be professional, courteous, cooperative and sensitive
to the needs of co-workers, clients, case managers and outside agencies.
2) All information regarding personnel and program clients is confidential and shall not be
transmitted to unauthorized individuals.
3) Teamwork and flexibility is a must.
4) Each employee is entitled to take a (10) minute break for every four hours worked.
(Breaks must be shown on time sheet).
5) Employees must return all supervisors, RCEB case managers, medical providers, and clients calls within 24-hours.
6) Employee must inform your supervisor the date and time of all RCEB meetings (IPP, ISP, and Quarterly).
8) Employees are expected to notify their Supervisor when unable to report to work for any reason.
This notice shall be early as possible, as but no later than three (3) hours prior to the scheduled work time.
9) Be sure to record the actual time that work began and end. All time sheets MUST BE SIGNED. Contact logs should include date, time, where, who, how, employee name and client’s name. (Know the correct spelling of the client’s first and last name)
10) Employees desiring time off must submit a request for approval in writing to your supervisor at least ten (10) days in advance.
11) Employees cannot accept gifts of any kind from clients.
12) Have a set plan/schedule with room for flexibility.
Be creative and go outside the box but not without your supervisor’s advice.
13) Do not bring your kid(s) to a client’s home.
14) Be proactive instead of reactive when client’s attitude changes

- All employees must be accessible by telephone, Text, Video Chat and E-mail.
- All employees must respond to calls, text, and e-mails within 4 hours.
- No talking, text messaging, Video Chat or playing games on your cell phone while working with a client.
- Make all telephone calls, text, video chat and e-mail during your break or lunch time.

Clients
- Your full attention should be devoted to the client.
- Do not under any circumstances borrow or loan money to any client.
- Neither physically, mentally nor verbally abuse client’s children even when the client gives you permission to do so.
- Do not leave your personal items in a client’s house or apartment.
- Inform client when you take your break or lunch.
- All accidents, however minor, must be reported to your Supervisor as soon as possible.
- Do not argue with client, client’s support circle, client’s spouse or client children.
Boarding Care
- If there’s a cleaning schedule in the home for the client and they fail to clean the house the employee is suppose to clean the house and do any other chores.
- Employee should assist and watch client take their medication. DO NOT let client get their own medication. Make sure refills are ordered in a timely manner.
- Notify house manager at least eight (8) hours in advance if you are going to be late.
- Notify House Manager at least twenty-four (24) hours in advance if you are unable to work weekend (if you are scheduled to work weekends)
